אדוארד אלמשי (יליד 1946) הוא אמן ומהנדס רב-תחומי, המשלב בעבודתו דיוק טכני יוצא דופן עם חזון אמנותי המבוסס על מחקר וגילוי. אלמשי, בוגר האוניברסיטה הטכנית בקלוז' ובעל רקע עשיר בפיסול ורישום, מפתח שפה חזותית ייחודית הנשענת על טכניקות מעורבות חדשניות: החל מיציקת צבע צנטריפוגלית בעזרת משפך מסתובב בשילוב ספריי לכה על קרטון דחוס הממוסגר במסגרות טלוויזיה ממוחזרות, ועד ליציקת צבע סופר-אקרילי בעזרת מטוטלת על בד. עבודותיו כוללות גם טכניקה סטריוסקופית שאותה פיתח בא משתמש בפרספקס / עץ בחיתוך לייזר. יצירותיו, העוסקות המגוון רחב של נושאים נוסטלגיים ובקורתיים, הוצגו במאות תערוכות יוקרתיות ברחבי העולם, בין היתר בפריז (Carrousel du Louvre), וינה, רומא וברלין, וכן בכשישים תערוכות בישראל. עבודתו מאופיינת בצבעוניות עזה המשרה התרוממות רוח, ובשילוב נדיר בין ידע הנדסי רחב ליצירתיות המעניקה לצופה תחושות של רוגע, סקרנות ואסתטיקה מודרנית.
Edward Almashe (born 1946) is a multidisciplinary artist and engineer, who combines in his work extraordinary technical precision with an artistic vision based on research and discovery. Almashe, a graduate of the Technical University of Cluj and with a rich background in sculpture and drawing, develops a unique visual language based on innovative mixed techniques: from centrifugal paint casting using a rotating funnel combined with varnish spray on compressed cardboard framed in recycled television frames, to super-acrylic paint casting using a pendulum on canvas. His works also include a stereoscopic technique that he developed using laser-cut plexiglass/wood. His works, which deal with a wide range of nostalgic themes and beams, have been presented in hundreds of prestigious exhibitions around the world, including in Paris (Carrousel du Louvre), Vienna, Rome and Berlin, as well as in about sixty exhibitions in Israel. His work is characterized by intense colors that inspire elation, and a rare combination of broad engineering knowledge and creativity that gives the viewer feelings of calm, curiosity, and modern aesthetics.
