שני שטלריד, ילידת 1974, אמנית ישראלית עכשווית היוצרת ציורי פנטזיה, אבסטרקט וסוריאליזם העוסקים בזכרון, נשיות, טבע ומרחבים פנימיים שבהם אור וחושך מתקיימים יחד. בציוריה, בעיקר אקריל ושמן על קנבס, שני בונה יקומים שלמים, עשירים ברגש, חשופים ומלאי שכבות.
טרם הפכה לאמנית במשרה מלאה, שני היתה מורה לאנגלית ומחנכת בתיכון במשך 15 שנים ולאחר מכן כיהנה כיו״ר עמותה לנפגעי תקיפה מינית ומרצה במשרד הבטחון על טראומה, חוסן ונצחון על טראומות, תכנים שמחלחלים עמוק אל תוך הציורים שלה.
עבודותיה הוצגו במגוון תערוכות, ביניהן תערוכת ׳פרחים אחרי המלחמה׳ בגלריית ׳על האגם׳, רעננה.
שני מפתחת את קולה האומנותי באמצעות לימוד עצמאי והתעמקות בהיסטוריה של האמנות, בהשראת אמנים כמו אדוורד מונק, בוטיצ׳לי וסלבדור דאלי.
Shani Shtalryd (b. 1974) is a contemporary Israeli artist creating fantasy, abstract, and surreal paintings that explore memory, womanhood, nature, and the inner landscapes where light and darkness coexist. Working primarily with acrylics and oils on canvas, Shani builds entire emotional universes, layered, exposed, and rich with meaning.
Before becoming a full-time artist, Shani spent 15 years as a high-school English teacher and educator, and later served as the chairperson of an association for victims of sexual assault. She also lectured for Israel’s Ministry of Defense on trauma, resilience, and the triumph over emotional wounds, subjects that deeply permeate her artistic language.
Her works have been exhibited in various shows, including the exhibition “Flowers After the War” at the Al Haagam Gallery in Ra’anana.
Shani continues to develop her artistic voice through independent study and deep engagement with art history, drawing inspiration from artists such as Edvard Munch, Botticelli, and Salvador Dalí.
